I am getting my Clifford Solaris 5 installed this Friday!!!

I am getting my Clifford Solaris 5 installed on mine this Friday. I will get remote start, trunk release, and and almost everything that G5 series could offer! It cost me $600 installed. Not bad at all I guess. I was gona get Intelliguard 750 or 850, but I wouldn't need car jack protection because entering key code would suck for everyday use. Plus, I thought the rader would be too much. Do you guys have Soralis 5? If so, how is it?

let me know how the trunk pop works out, I want to get that done to mine! If you have neon... have them wire that into a programmable button. I have a viper 791 and I can hit the button when im outside and the neon comes on...its pretty sick.

    Actually

Solaris 5 was out of stock, and the over night shipment did not make it to the shop this morning. They said they would install Clifford Matrix RS 3.5 instead for the same price. The Matrix comes with 2 way remote with a little LCD screen, and it shows you the status of your car. I never thought I would need such a thing, but I could not resist it!!! It looks cool, and once I have it installed, I just love it so much. I am getting my trunk pop (release) installed tomorrow morning cuz the install guy said this is another 2 to 3 hour work because our corolla does not come with the actuator needed for the remote trunk pop. I will let you know how it goes.

Guess what? I only paid $600 for everything including install and tax. Isn't it a good price? Oh, I am getting a backup self powered siren too for free

    trunk pop

Now, I have my trunk pop installed. However.....I can not open my trunk with the key hole on the trunk because our car was not designed to have trunk pop. Therefore, the installer needed to cut the sheet metal to accomplish thi if I still wana use the key hole to open the trunk. I wanted to keep it stock, and I didn't think I would ever open my trunk with my key, so I have my key hole disabled for now. It's very easy to put it back to factory stock, so it's good for me in 3 -4 years down the road. I could still open my trunk either from my remote or the lever inside my car. It's cool with me :D Plus, it would be a better security if you could not open the trunk with the key hole. :D
