    "hub" idea for 12v wires

i dunno the name of what i am trying to say but its kind of like a hub. anyways this is the idea: have like a 2x4 about 8 inches long and screws going through it like this:
    1-------1
    1-x---x-1
    1-------1
    1-x---x-1
    1-------1
    1-x---x-1
    1-------1
    1-x---x-1
    1-------1
    1-x---x-1
    1-------1

the 1's and -'sare the board and the x's are screws going through the board so it sticks out on both sides. then i would connect wires like this ON THE BOTTOM:
    1-------1
    1-o---+-1
    1-------1
    1-o---+-1
    1-------1
    1-o---+-1
    1-------1
    1-o---+-1
    1-------1
    1-o---+-1
    1-------1
(the 1's on the right are suppose to line up but they wont)
the negative (o) nails would be connected together and then the positive (+) nails would be connected connected and then run to the battery. then on top of the board i would connect various 12v accessories such as car monitors and neons. the idea would be to fit it behind the dash(within close reach to all the LEDs i still need to add to the ones i already have and the monitor i will have) what do u guys think? this would simplify things (for me at least) if i could just connect them to the board and splice into ONE +/- source (cig. lighter) and not individually to the battery or splice into a million wires. i spent alot of time thinking about this. i dont even know if it would work tho lol anyways just tell me what you think

Use whats called a "Binding Post" (Radio Shack) in place of the screws and a plastic box in place of the 2 X 4 and you got a pretty good idea.

The binder post allows several different methods to tie in.

AND DONT FORGET TO FUSE !!!!

Radio Shack has all different sizes that have a cover they are easy to drill and work with they have metal ones but I suggest plastic.
