less gas mileadge , about 3-4 mpg at the most. youll get more power and torque and gas mileadge w/ a true CAI.

    what is a tru CIA??

its CAI , not a government agency . lol.

true cold air intake. this will require the removal of some factory intake boxes , but worth it for the gain over a short ram intake. heres mine:

the silver tube on the right side of the engine is the intake pipe (mine is 3")

this is where the filter is located , true cold air location , leave in your fenderwell if you do this . and avoid big puddles at high speed at all cost!! my intake hasnt been affected by the rain or puddles yet.

like isaid i havnt really messed with it. yes its safe through proper installation , and a HVAC (heating,ventilation,a/c) tool called a pipe crimper. just make sure you have a flexible rubber connection from intake to piping , to keep from phukin up the piping , if you want to now more on how to do it let me know , i know i noticed a big difference w/ mine in low but mostly mid range uumph'. but if you do this there are a couple of things u must do to protect the CAI and the engine. all in the construction.

Just get the damn thing! Your looking for performance, right? If your worried about gas milage, leave it as it is.

Get a CAI. You have to fabricate your own though, most people do. Might find one if your lucky.

You should get one of those Greddy emergency valves for your intake, Shubert. It won't cost you much and if you do end up hitting a huge puddle, it may prevent your engine from getting hydrolocked. You know what I'm talking about right? I believe they are made by Greddy and are universal.

firs for best flow your gonna have to use metal pipe so barrow or find this tool first:
HVAC drier vent and bath fan crimpers . they crimp the metel finely so when you cut your sections of pipe you have amale and female side , always face male towards in take for better flow. find that tool , then ill finish , cause it is the key for a good install.
