How to get 200hp out of my 03 corolla?

Hey people. I was just thinking of how i can get 200 hp out of my corolla. I already have a Magnaflow exhaust and a Weapon R RAI. What else can i put in my corolla that would put me close to the goal of 200hp??? I already know of these:

1. Supercharger
2. Headers
3. Pulley set

If you can think of anything else that would help me out a lot. BTW, i really dont want to put nitrous in the car so that wouldnt be an option....thanks.

USE A PULLEY SET UNDER RISK OF MOTOR BLOWING!!!! they'll mess ur car up and I bet many here can vouch for the same thing, pulley sets have to be EXACTLY balanced to car's specs or otherwise your motor is done for.... only way to get to the 200+ hp with ANY corolla is with money thus making the only choice as #1 lol and good choice on not putting nitrous man, dangerous stuff and it kills ur motor a lot faster. About the headers not sure they MIGHT give you a couple HP IF that but not sure.

That won't get you to 200hp. You're going to need to make a pretty big investment to get it there, and it depends on how reliable you want it to be. The #1 best way to get there is with a 3SGTE swap which will give you 225 reliable hp.

hmmm ive had pulleys on my car the supposed balance special pulley bs since 7K miles....

Im at 69K now... no problems whatsoever

I have had a turbo on my car since about 43K miles with the pulley as well and still noi problems....

Easiest way to get 200 hp is a turbo... I would say supercharger but the trd unit gives no power hardly from the dyno's I have seen... also a decent set on a turbo will give you a nice reliable 200 hp as long as you dont insanely up the boost...

A 3SGTE swap would be more cosly then a turbo unless dr tweak can do it cheaper but id definately say a 3sgte would be a lot cooler... especially since if you want to go high power the 3sgte parts will end up being cheaper and easier to come by vs the 1zz (pistons, rods, etc)

just get a turbo like that dude said superchargers take power to make power thats why the trd supercharger gives you 40 hp a turbo set at about 6 psi will give you much more than that and you get a sweet b.o.v. and a nice front mount intercooler what better way to intimidate the competition?

i personally like my s/c... the added torque makes it nice to drive in the city... it'll blow anything away off the line.

200hp out of corolla??

of you're talkin the 1zz-fe, dream on. the engine isnt really made for much power output but there are a couple of things you can do but could cost a fortune. things such as turbochargers. A supercharger could give you up to a 50% boost in power but is it worth $3000???

Your other choices are:
3s-gte swap(200hp)
2zz-ge swap(170-180hp)
4a-ge/gze(140-160hp)

you could try to build the 1zz-fe. but for the same cost or maybe more of most of these engine swaps, you're only going to get about 150-170(maybe more??) on NA. that's if you do the following...
-build head
-forged pistons
-valves/valvesprings
-balance crank
-cams/gears
-port polish
-fuel management
-ecu tuning
theres more but i dont even know about them.

I believe superchargers are a good source of power because the power is always there once it's on. you dont really have to wait for the thing to spool up. And i think the supercharger is made to work with a completely stock engine. things like a CAI could possibly lean out your engine whichs bad.

The headers will give you about 5-10hp depending if you have a cat-back exhaust or not. the only trade-off i can think of is that you'll lose about the same amount of torque. BUT.... i've heard one guy here actually has a prototype header where torque and hp was increased by about 5 (won't say who). Don't know about you but I like to keep my torque.

I would say something about those pulleys, but i know nothing about them.

beware man that the turbo kits at www.turbokits.com are known for CRAP KITS! they'll blow ur stuff out or do some damage OR they won't send u the right items or something will go wrong.

reaching 200bhp goal.... with Nitrous.

Just install a Nitrous Oxide kit with 70bhp shot. That would get u about 202 bhp. That's the limit that the stock fuel pump can support. I'm on a Nitrous kit with 50 bhp shot for over 1 yr. Together with other mod, i'm getting about 195bhp; just below the limit.

C2 kit will not work on our car.........already done the research on them...turbo is in the wrong place for our car.I have a built 1zz in my 01......if everything goes right,I should have 250hp to 315hp with a turbo system on it.

200 Hp?

Ryroll,

If you want a car with 200 hp, why go to the hard route, and still end up disappointed?
Modify a small motor until it's about to blow apart?
That's dumb.
Spend a lot of money doing a swap?
So what, you can get another 75 HP, and are now faced with trying to sell a highly modified, and most likely abused, time bomb, that very few people would even think of taking off your hands?
That's dumb too.
If you really have to have 200+ Hp, here's what you do.
Tomorrow get up early and go down to the local Toyota dealer.
Search his lot until you find a V-6 Camry.
Go up to the first salesman who looks your way, point back at the car, and say these two words: DO ME!
Trust me, he will.
The next morning, you will wake up with a very sore rectal opening, But the 200+HP fix, will at least be warranted to last 30 days.
As an added bonus, your gas mileage will most likely be better, and the resale value of your ride will also be greater.
Oh, one more thing, you will still be able to hear your stereo without turning it all the way up.
Trust me, I’ve seen guys waste more money trying to make gas efficient, four door family sedans go a little bit faster, than if they had just gone out and bought a Corvette, that really will go faster.
Get the picture?
If all your money is burning a hole in your pocket, at least spend it on something that has some sort of return value.
Not your ’03 Rolla.

I agree with Ninety Four, the best way to get those numbers from smaller engines is really forced induction...N/A...I mean I've heard this and hear that...but usually when someone boasts 200 hp in a corolla they usually have forced induction.
