3 hours labor tops. If a shop wants more time than that, go elsewhere.

    how much money?

i was wondering about an average price that a shop would charge to have a set of coilovers and struts installed? ive heard lots of different prices from peole but alot were way too expensive for me. if its too expensive im somewhat knowledgable in the area and could probably get some friends to help.

Should be cheaper to install struts and springs rather than just springs b/c there is more work involved. Dont let them screw you over but it really is pretty easy though dude.

True...since they dont have to remove the springs from the existing strut and replace them. Takes away about 30 minutes labor.

I don't know that much about working on cars (some but not nearly the amount many others do about modding) and I installed my own coilover kit on my own. It's not super hard, but pneumatic tools do help a lot....get some info about diy's and it should be pretty easy from there on. Saves money and it's pretty kewl that you put it on yourself :)
