Re: How much is the S kit from toyota painted, and install?

If you can find it for $800 from toyota PLEASE let me know! I have been searching for the S kit for a while now with not much luck. I have received quotes from toyota dealers as low as $1500 and and much as $2700 for everything... yeah that's mad expensive. The closest I came was an auction on ebay that ended this past Sunday. Someone bought a new black corolla S and removed the kit so they could install an aftermarket kit. The reserve price was only $350... and wasn't met until I jumped in the auction. I e-mailed the guy to find out the price then bid like 5 minutes before closing. I was outbid at the last second, I'm pissee

Anyway, if you (or anyone) happens to know of better prices for the S kit lemme know. I'll do the same.

Thanks but the Altis kit doesn't fit quite right so I'm gonna keep it simple and get the S kit. I e-mailed the ebay seller (whose auction I lost the other day) and he said he can get more kits! When he gets back to me I'll post with some info. :)

He's not lazy... the auction that I lost is already over so you can't search for it unless you know the seller or auction number.

    Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=36475&item=2439223404

(In case the auction is deleted before you can see it)
    Seller: phil23tennis
    Auction number: 2439223404
    Reserve Price: $350
    Ending Price: $500.01

I'll let you know when the seller gets back to me about the other kits for sale. :D

One more thing: I just realized something about the auction that pisses me off... again. The auction never reached the reserve price until I jumped in the auction with about 15 minutes to go. The guy with the high bid wouldn't have won since he was still under the reserve price. So not only did I lose, but I kinda helped the other guy win. Grrr

The one you saw (if recently) is the one I bid on and lost :( I e-mailed the seller and he said he can get more. I responded saying that I was interested but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. I'll keep looking, determined to get that kit...

There's a cool guy at Fremont Toyota. I asked him to do a price check for me. He can get the full S body kit (without spoiler), prepainted and clearcoated to the same color as your car, for $1157 shipped to the Fremont Toyota dealership. Unfortunately, if that is too far for you to pick up, then you'd have pay separate shipping to get it sent wherever you want it. The pieces aren't heavy, but they the side skirts are kinda big. If you wanted it, I could probably throw all the pieces together into one big box and ship by UPS ground, which, as long as you are in CA or a state that borders CA, shipping takes only takes 1-3 days and is not very expensive.

How far is freemont from Palo Alto or San Jose? I went to school in Northern CA and I'm coming up in a few weeks so if I bought a kit I could pick it up in Freemont. Lemme know what you think. If the ebay guy doesn't get back to me I may just buy the kit from Freemont Toyota.

    Thanks for the info 8)

I'll contact Fremont Toyota again to ensure that it comes with all mounting equipment. I imagine it does though.

Palo Alto and San Jose are about 20-30 minute drive away from Fremont Toyota. Of course, that all depends where you're AT in San Jose and all, but it's not very far away. And if you can come up on the weekend of Nov. 22, there's going to be a big NC4/matrixowners joint meet at Treasure Island, San Francisco. If you've got free time, then you can go pick up your stuff at Fremont in the morning, hopefully get it installed before 11am or so, and then you can roll with your S kit to the meet! If you order from Fremont Toyota, it will only take a few days to get all the parts (if they don't already have them in stock). If you want it, then leave me a message and I'll figure out a way to get the parts ordered up so that they're available when you get up here.

Hey I just checked with Fremont Toyota again. The front and rear bumper pieces come with all the necessary mounting hardware and sealant. The side skirts, however, have no indication of what they will come with. So it looks like you may have to shell out another $50 or so to get the sealant for the left/right side skirts along with 16 clips. That would bring the total to about $1200. Oh and if you want the red S emblem as well, that's $28. Although if you got the emblem, you'd definitely want to shave off those black side moldings on the doors lest you get jacked up by someone pissed off with a REAL S. Oh and just as a note to make sure you don't miss it, this is WITHOUT the spoiler as I indicated in the original post.

When I was at the dealer checking on the prices for the "S" kit, The Parts guy was hitting the the # for the each individual piece and that included all of the mounting clips screws and whatever else is required that is also why it is so expensive, beside it being prepainted, so I guess if it can be gotten for $ 1000. it wouldn't be too bad, some aftemarket kits are nearly that exspensive and doesn't include paint.
