    how much for clutch job?

So i went racing the other day and now my clutch is in need of a change. and while I'm doing that I'm gonna wanna change the flywheel as well since it's there. I'm not too sure how much it'll cost so I'm asking you guys if you'd probably know?
Just how much is labor alone for the job?

and which clutch/flywheel combination should i get?

About clutch combination don't know man BUT to replace the clutch is gonna take some coin. Here I've seen them run for like 200-300 greens, I dk maybe they change them cheaper there I dk but that's what I've seen around here

$700!? Synthetic gear oil is about 12 bucks..resurfacing the FW should run under $50..and there's no way it should've taken them ten hours in labor (assuming ~$60/hr). The highest price quote I received was $550..

Where's the ACT clutches? hehe All of us that have used em on the Corolla's love em... XTSS baby! :)

    1) Labor (services) isn't taxable. At least where all I've lived.

    2) Synthetic Gear oil is max $30 a bottle and you only need 2.5 bottles. I use one of the most expensive ones and it only cost me $75 for all three bottles.

as for the labor thing... that shit pisses me off... check this out. I had a shope do some stuff to my auto tranny in my old rolla... now, I happen to know for a FACT that the job only took 9 hours instead of what the "book calls for" which was like 12 - however I still got billed the book price. 99% of the shops are crooked, plain and simple.

yea that's why if u can do a clutch job urself might as well save the money and do that, it's what I've done with all the stick cars I've owned.....pain in the ass process but worth it in the end saving myself over 400 bucks JUST for labor

Yea it took me a day rushing it to do it in my garage, sucked ass cause not too much space to work with but better than paying $400.... I guess it's not very favorable when u need the car back up running in a timely fashion...

    It's always ran 16s, except for my one 15.943 run. I have never ran even a 16.999 or slower..even stock, I think it's good for mid/high 16s. Someone ran a 16.4 in a stock '02..

So I guess to answer your question 'what's making it run 16 consistant'? Manual tranny and halfway decent driving. :)

I've not heard a lot of great things about ACT so can't vote for it...

I'd get the RPS Max Street Clutch and the RPS Flywheel. The flywheel is rebuildable and can be upgraded to carbon when you decide you want more gripping force.

i'd do it for $100 as well, to bad you are not in the maryland area! Stuff like that is easy about an hour and a half to put in with air tools and a lift.
