    Shes trying her best to deflect criticism, and this criticism was first brought up by the Mayor of New Orleans on FRIDAY, in an interview with Solidad from CNN, where he also stated that the president was being fed a line of BS about the actual destruction. And this is the day after that same mayor was lashing out against the president.

    To bring up the fact that the levees were under funded years ago....well, that doesnt explain the lack of preperation once they knew that they were going to get hit hard.....

    well on president bushes fault he took away that money that president clinton put aside to renovate the levves and he used that money for the war in iraq

    even if they did fix it, who is to say mother nature wouldn't have caused a disaster bad enough to wipe out the city regardless? Everyone can say "well we can build this and that and it will withstand the strongest storm. But whats a strong storm to them? we can't predict what mother nature will do.

    Because of all their pumping systems and what not the city is actually sinking more and more by the day. Something of this magnatude was bound to happen one day (I'm not meaning that like an *sshole. Just an observation)

    I was watchin the Daily Show the other night and Jon Stewart said probably the most sensicle thing of his life. When Clinton litterally f*cked up with the Lewinski thing Democrats had to stand up and condem his actions just so their voters wouldn't turn their backs on them. Now that Bush screwed up with this more Republicans need to stand up like their counterparts of the previous admin. did.

    Now the officials are saying that no amount of money could have fixed the levees to prevent it from giving way.....and that the money that WAS allocated for the levees wasnt used for the levees
