It will run at whatever resistance the load has.

The load being your speaker and the resistance is determined by how the speaker is wired. Is it a DVC? SVC? What's the resistance per VC? Do you have it wired in series or parallel?

    it really isn't too difficult.

if the sub is a DVC(dual voice coil) and it is 4 ohms per coil, the if in series it is 8ohms. if in parallel then 2ohms.

if the sub is a DVC(dual voice coil) and it is 2 ohms per coil, the if in series it is 4ohms. if in parallel then 1ohms.

If it is just a SVC(single voice coil), then it is just whatever the single coil is.

    this help?

I second that. now that you know how your ohm load is on your sub, how you wire it on your amp will also affect how much load it will push.

If the way you have it wired is at 2 ohm and you bridge that on a two channel stereo, it puts that down to 1 ohm

If the speaker is wired at 4 ohm and you bridge that, you get 2 and so on and so forth. How stable your amp to run speakers at different ohm load will make a difference how you amp will last.
