how do I tell what % tint I have?

    how do I tell what % tint I have?

    Hi, several members have their tint % as sig

    I want to do the same, but I have no idea what I have. When I went to the shop they have 3 kinds. (Dark, meduim and light).

    I got the Dark on back 3 windows and medium on front two.

    ... maybe i'll call them up and see if they know. ccuz i was looking in some cop magazine and they sell little testers that caps can use in the field to test your tint % to see if its legal.

    those things are like $250

    any inspection station should have that machine..anyway, North Carolina does

    Dark is probably 10~15%, Medium is probably 20~25%, Light is probably 30~35%

    u gotta shop around for a better price, i have seen tint places do it for about 100-150 dollars

    I think strellok means the TESTERS are 250 bucks. That's probably true.

    Like crewdawg130 said any inspection station should have one, I'd bet they wouldn't charge a thing to go out and test someone's if asked nicely.
