Interesting to say the least, very strange how a car would catch fire after an oil change. I think that people are really bad at oil changes rather than a defect here :?

I was reading an article on toyota factories. They were saying japan makes 15 to 1 errors . While america makes 500 to 1 errors

 Don't know which plants you were referring to, but the one in Georgetown, KY, that makes the Camry, Solara, and Avalon....where I work, builds high quality cars. In the most recent quality check there was only a 3 defect per 100 units difference between the U.S. and Japanese built (Tusumi plant) Camrys. Plus, our Avalon out scored all Japanese built Camyrs.....there are no Japanese built Avalons. The Georgetown and Tusumi plants are considered "sister" plants. So, has a result, they battle it out year after year to see who has the fewest number of defects per 100 units. It's worth noting, that I'm referring to actual assembly defects, not design/engineering issues, which we have no control over.

maybe he meant japanese cars as compared to american cars in general...........i can't see any toyota cars having 500 to 1 no matter where it was built.

I dont understand what he means by that 15 to 1, when i see that it seems like hes saying they make 15 cars before 1 error, while america makes 500?
