I'll just assume you didn't see the post directly before you. :D

If they did bring the JDM Integra Type-R to the states, it would only make sense for it to be called the RSX Type-R, since the JDM Integra is called the RSX here. They already have a Type-S version of the RSX, so the Type-R name already fits with the Acura nomenclature.

lol, who told u that we're getting the ITR?

cuz that rumor has been around since 01 :p

plus, there have been a lot of rumors that the RSX will be completely eliminated at the end of the 05 MY if the 05's don't sell well.

i'm glad they're finally shipping the Type R over here...i just wish it would keep the Integra moniker instead of switching it to RSX.

    haha, we're not getting a Type-R.

that was an australian R, which is essentially all the goodies (brembo, nice wheels, no sunroof, barebones deal) without the engine, it has a type-S engine instead.

THEY'D REBADGE IT! regardless, we ARE getting it.

and no, it's an INTEGRA, not an RSX. the RSX is the US-spec teg.

and i do believe in Japan, Acura doesn't exist.

Instead of the RSX-S and the Civic Si, Honda should've just brought over both Civic and Integra Type R's.

The integra that they're talking about in this article is the australian domestic type-r which has the same motor as our type-s.

    edit: didn't realize o2rsx said it already....nevamind

    *snerks*

    nutty boys :p

as far as that rumor...i'd thought that had come from Honda itself. i COULD be mistaken, but i can verify that if it came here it would be an rsx type r.

it's a shame they changed the name for the us market :(
