lol, so now you all want a DIY! hahah, just joking. All I did was drill 4 - 2" holes in the bottom part of the airbox after taking it out of the car. I was sure not to mess with the basic casing so it would still secure my filter and me able to be mounted in my car. After drilling I just put everything back where it was and started the car. The thing is awesome. If you think about it, its exactly what a short ram is, just more ghetto... Now the aribox has 5 holes including going through the resinator box to suck up air. The holes I drilled are like so close to the filter so it gets mass airflow into the filter. Just be sure not to drill the crap out of the top part of your box!

hahaha, that was a good episode. However, I definitly would reccomend this mod to anyone who doesnt want to go out and buy a RAI or a CAI right away.

    Holes in the airbox

I was told the best custom intake method is just to drill holes around the stock airbox right under where the filter is. Has anyone tried this?

yea, leave the resonator box in, and just drill holes in the airbox. When you say extend the piping youre talking about taking the resonator box out right>?

because it would be sucking in air through the resonator box as well as directly through the holes drilled under the filter.

well i just completed the drilling. FYI it runs great. Its got a louder intake voice and the throttle response is awesome. It definitly works.
