    hit & run 56K no

let's just say that i woke up with my fiance saying that his truck is totaled...i'm going what???...

this was around 5am and he parked his truck RIGHT OUTSIDE my house....stupid drunk guy in an F150 hit it...i think it's a 2002...but yeah...he also hit about 4-5 cars before he hit our 04 TITAN and then he hit about 2 more cars further along....the TITAN was pushed forward about a good 2 feet...

the F150 has running on 3 tires and 1 was totally gone so he was going on just rim for that one...it shows on the streets, all the way to his house....the cops followed those marks and arrested him.

he does have insurance...but he's in the military so i think it's USSA...something like that...

i just can't believe that after hitting the first car...the dude just doesn't stop...cuz in the last couple of pics...it totally shows that he backed out to get back on the street or else he would have gotten the front end of the red corolla...

well this guy is screwed. Not only is he going to lose all his rank and money he is also going to be doing extra duty and maybe jail time. The military doesn't take too lightly to DUIs

actually...a few days ago..the estimate was $4k and they are supposed to be working on the truck right now...if anything else comes up (which is a definate because a lot of internal work is needed) they're supposed to call us. if the amt turns up to be more than what the truck is worth, then yeah....new truck it is, but so far, they said that they are fixing it.

yeah it's only an estimate though, we'll find out more once they take apart the bed and see things underneath it.

as of right now, the truck still ISNT fixed yet. we were planning on taking it to Vegas this weekend, but as of right now, not much word of how the truck is. all they can say is that they have been finding more and more things to fix. y can't they just say "replace w/ another truck"...stupid i tell ya.

    update

well...TWO MONTHS LATER, we finally have the truck back....they decided to fix it, we returned the rental truck this morning and Enterprise is charging the other dude's insurance (USAA) $2,300. Repairs were around 6k. So far, the drive seems pretty good, nothing wrong YET....but we might end up trading it for an SUV now since we just found out that we are expecting twins in about 3 months.
