    High idle when starting cold

    Noticed this last year.
Car idles fairly high (couldnt tell you what the rpm's are, wont have my tach in for awhile) when it is started cold (not outside temperature, just the engine).
Runs high for a good couple minutes before slowly settling down.
Compared to some other cars that I have here, there is a big difference.
Even if the air temp is really high there will be a fast idle for a couple minutes.

    Any ideas?

I agree with you to a point on that statement.
It is normaly to idle high, but this is more than just a little high, much more than any car here.

If you had a tach you could really tell how high. How high does it sound ? Like above 3k?

I'll grab a tach in the next couple days I hope and i'll just wire it up quickly (not install) to get a good idea).
Never had a tach in it so I couldnt give you an honest answer, but I would say it is AT LEAST above 2k.

Side note: what is the symbol for pulse reading on a multimeter? I,m sure that one of the multimeters here has that setting, could use that to find out>
