    HID problem?

i installed my HIDs recently, and its weird
sometimes when is start off my car at night, the HIDs wont turn on, all you see is the signal lights on, the HIDs arent

then sometimes i would turn off the car, and start it up again to see if the lights turn on, and if im lucky it will, but then in another case one of them will start blinking like its on steroids, and eventually work...orrrrrrrrrr in the worst case, it still wont turn on and i have to turn my car off and on til it works

is this normal??? or is it cuz i got some cheap ass HIDs

my friend told me cuz its new and it needs to break in, but i dont know
my other friend told me cuz its a shitty cheap brand i bought

Your ballasts/igniters are crappy. Don't forget to double check your connections and wiring.

Have it exchange while it's under warranty.

did you disable the drl's? that could be it if you didnt. other than that, you probably touched the bulb during install or maybe some wrong wiring.

You shoud've bought from a reputable company. There were a few group buys on ToyotaNation. The Mod-Express HID buy was a great deal.

It's always mandatory to disable the DRLs when utilizing HIDs.

Like how normal people do it, using the light switch... ROFL Don't tell me, you never turned on your lights before? Even if the DRLs come on automatically in the dark, cops will pull you over because your parking lights won't be on.

HIDs don't use filaments so they can't run at a partial voltage.

it's your drl's, there not giving the proper voltage to the ballast.

If you don't want to disable the DRL. Then just turn on the headlight BEFORE you start the car and keep it on until you shut down the car.
And turn it off AFTER you shut down the car.

Isn't it harder to install the HID than disabling the DLR?

You can disable it anytime with or without HID's installed.
