    Hey everyone i was wondering about a transmission transformation....

    Hey everyone i have a 1988 toyota corolla fx. It is automatic and carburated and i was wondering how much it would cost to JUST install a manule transmissoion. I already found a manule trans for 300 bucks. Anyone know a good price for doing this operation? how much should it cost

    i have no clue where you'll find a manule tranny, but maybe car-part.com might have a manual one..

    Shouldn't be that much... I did a swap on a 98 about 2 weeks ago from auto to manual and it cost me less than 1K (excluding food, beer, etc lol)

    pull a part junkyard, the trannies are only like $100 or under usually...... but you'll need more than just the tranny.....

    tranny
    axles
    brake/clutch pedals
    clutch master/slave cylinders
    linkage
    flywheel/pressure plate/clutch

    to name a few
