    what...the hell

This is not gonna be good...because it is not a common problem as it is something you specifically did...only you can fix this as no one here was there watching you. Do you know much about cars? You should not be doing things like this based on your apparent skill level...anyone can turn nuts and bolt and hook up wires...few actually know what they are doing.

When you installed the tranny, before you bolt up the pressure plate to the torque converter, you should have checked the torque converter by spinning it...if you could easily turn it (again this is with the tranny bolted to the engine, but the torque converter not yet bolted to the pressure plate)...if you cannot spin it then you've f'd something up and you will need to pull the tranny back off and "re-stab" it.

Does it have tranny fluid in it? Actually it should still spin even if it doesn't, it would just have REALLY delayed shifts.

I don't think you're gonna get much help here because there are soooo many things that could be wrong, and having not been there while you did this, and not knowing your actual skill level, we can't determine if it is some simple mistake (shift cable not installed right) or some major mistake due to lack of knowledge (not checking the torque converter...dropping it twice).

Just...stop what you are doing...don't do anything until you have read several college grade books...here are a few to start you off...first year automotive technology stuff...honestly...you need to do this. But even after this, you will still need to do more research and ask questions BEFORE doing things like this.

    http://www.delmarlearning.com/brows...ID=AU&cat2ID=UC

go here...there should be a menu on the far left already selected under automotive tag, and also selected under "undercar systems" and also in this link (all I did was click on underhood systems"

    http://www.delmarlearning.com/brows...ID=AU&cat2ID=UH

Here is what my college used...I don't know what you will need...this is associates degree stuff...still..starts of really really basic.

    Autmatic transmission
    manual transmission and transaxles
    autmotive electricity and electronics
    autmotive suspension and steering
    autmotive engine repair and rebuilding
    autmotive brake systems
    autmotive heating and air conditioning
    basic autmotive service and systems
    autmotive engine performance
    autmotive computer systems

then there should be any number of advanced books as well...I'd stick with the books that have "today's technician" at the top right corner. I have personally used them and they are pretty good...although they don't really get to far into everything..gives you a good basics foundation.

or at that site you can go to search...click advanced search, deselect all those checks, select only automotive...in the "description box" put "today's technician" and search...there you go.
