how full is the oil line? if its way over, you got trouble... way under-and well, you get the story...but it could very well be an oil pump issue-

HELP, oil light on, but full oil

Hey, i had my alternator put on and such, now my oil light comes on. It seems to go off around turns, but it fades on and off as driving. I got full oil. Is there a sensor that could of gotten bumped or such? Or sensor going bad maybe? Also, how much am i looking at if sensor is going bad.

If this started after the work was done then I would take it to the person who did the work and have them check it over.

The sending unit should have just a single wire/connector (not sure of location of oil press sensor though)

that sucks.... i'd check the sending unit first and if all is well there - pray its not the oil pump. :)

oil sensor wire must be loose.. the oil sensor is to the right of the oil filter, below the alternator.

Mine did that too...turns out the oil screen was clogged. You should check it out and check it out NOW before your car suddenly dies while going 80mph on the freeway.

    1. Oil Sensor is bad or 2. Oil Pressure is bad which would be the oil pump both easy fixes
