    Help my muffler situation

So right now I have a 2 1/4 catback piping with a 22' cherrybomb glasspack resonator and a universal muffler at the end with a 4' outlet. And it is still pretty loud. I've been pulled over several times... some gotten away with... some had to pay. This will be the 3rd time ive changed my piping/muffler... so with a low amount of money left i need some advice on what i should do. the possibilties are 1) cutting off everything and putting it back to stock [there goes all the money spent but i wont be pulled over ever again/also ill miss the speed and sound of my car] 2) weld on the stock pipe with a muffler [this will cost a little extra cuz ill buy another muffler with a shorter outlet/ i may still get pulled over but chances are low 3) weld stock exhaust to 2 1/4 pipe [sounds dangerous and prolly look ugly but cheapest]

    I need help!

so stock pipe, resonator, and muffler??? resonator helped a little containing the sound from the 2 1/4 piping.. i think it should be better if the pipe was back to stock... u remember the size of the stock pipe?

how about when you go to the shop you get it done right. Don't go to a crappy shop, if needbe, get a db meter and rev it up to make sure you are compliant

easy answer: your 22" glasspack is fine, just ditch the universal muffler and get something with a little more fiberglass packing like a dynomax or something.
