    Help me decide...

I want to put a hood scoop on my car. I am looking at either an 04 Mustang scoop, or an 04 WRX STI scoop. What do you think would look better?

Is that the same scoop as the TRD SR-5 Tundras and 4Runners? I'll check it out.
I really like those, but all the ones I've seen are one piece hoods.

I checked it out, it's a one piece. I really can't afford to do that much body work. It would look nice! Looks like the mustang scoop is it.

Just for looks. If I ever go turbo I'll probably cut through my hood.
Well, I found ones that look like the RAV4 and Tundra scoops, BUT they're like $129. The mustang scoop might be a little too big for me. So I think I'm just going to go with a WRX scoop. Not the STI, it is too tall, just the regular one.
I found a really good deal on one.

    hood scoop

    Thats cool. (ehem...)
    You're engine is modified?

I won the ebay auction for a WRX scoop. Only $56 shipped. Thats a nice deal for a hood scoop, most scoops go for $70+ shipping and up. There is this mustang scoop I was considering buying. It looks like it is going to be a good deal. It has one minor broken piece that won't show after it's installed.

You sure it's a good idea to cool down the exhaust?
I think you want to keep it as hot as it can.

Yes, hot air flows better then cold ait because its less dense. If anything you should wrap your headersssssssssssss, that would keep the heat in the manifold and out of the engine bay.

my car has no heat shields. the air it uses to cool the exhaust comes up from the front underbody spoiler thingy.(its a piece of metal looks like a spoiler) that is why i never really pushed having a hood scoop on it. and the interior is not hot anymore(down at the bottom next to where your feet rest).

BTW the way the exhaust runners on my car are so freaking' thick it does not need the wrap. all i know is they are very heavy compared to stock.

Yeah the 05+ WRX STi scoops are much taller than the 02-05 WRX scoops.
I got one of the older ones that isn't as high.
