HELP!! Got ticket but might get out of. HELP

Im gonna make this short and sweet. Im in lexington, kentucky. Me and a red Mercedes Kompressor were riding side by side, but i got pulled over. We werent racing, just speeding.

So here is the short and sweet. DONT LECTURE ME either. Yes it was stupid, and i know that. But its one of those 3 lane open roads, no traffic. Me and the guy were just cruising, its 55mph. but should be 65.
Ok, so i got a ticket today for going 27 over. That is a must appear in court. I was clocked at 82 in the 55. He asked to see insurance card, i showed it to him, he asked if vehic. was a 2005, i said yes sure. He gave back insurance card, took my license and went to his car. He gave me a ticket, said i must appear in court.

Now here is my question for anyone that knows the law or ways to get around. A cop must do the ticket correct right? Right vehical information ect. ect. Well i have my car debadged, and i have an Altis badge on the back. The cop wrote down my car as an Altis. Since the Altis does not exist in the united states, and my car is a corolla. Doesnt that allow me to get out of my ticket?

Anyone with any ideas or anything let me know what to do. I could loose license.

No. Mislabeling your car with a similar type will not get you out of the ticket. Since an Altis is a Corolla (for all intent and purposes here) you're still S.O.L. there. All that really has to be correct is your first or last name and your license plate as well as the violation. Honestly, you're were going 27 over -- you're not going to get off. You may get a nice plea bargain though, which you might want to take.

Not lecturing you, just speaking from experience. :)

You *could* always consult a lawyer though, that might be your best bet.

Nope, u cant get out of a ticket because the cop wrote down the wrong type of vehicle....thats like getting out of a ticket for the wrong vehicle color....its just not gonna work.....if he wrote the incorrect violation then you could get out of it.....but 27 over....yea thats a must appear in court because thats considered "aggressive speeding"....it might be called aggrivated speeding instead but lets assume its aggressive....if its your first ticket, then im sure you could get away with some community service....if not, then you'll just have to beg for it cuz i doubt they'll give that to you if you have priors....i guess you're just gonna have to take the ticket fine.....in oklahoma, "aggressive speeding" plus a single appearance court cost will have you pay out $225....and dont incriminate urself either....just plead no contest and keep ur mouth shut after that cuz he will ask questions if you keep talking and no judge is your best friend

...if you think youre license is in danger of being taken away by the state of Kentucky, then i suggest that you QUICKLY sign up for something like an aggressive driving class...that should drop some points off your record, i dont remember how many....take that class before your court date or as soon as possible....usually the DOT of your state will take a while to find out that you have gone over your points....it took them 6 months for them to figure that out with me....the class will contact them quicker than that usually....the judge shouldnt have your previous driving record if your going into a large municipal court (smaller circuit courts will probably have your record)...so more than likely, he wont take away your license and if you actually sit in there for a while and listen to the judge read off other peoples citations, you probably wont be the only one with a large speeding ticket...btw, im basing all this stuff by my experience and knowledge of how it goes down in oklahoma....i dunno if you guys even go by a point system or have a no tolerance for aggressive speeding which if there is a no tolerance, then like vortex said, ur s.o.l.....btw, dont talk to a lawyer....unless youre in really really really deep sh*t, something like an aggressive speeding ticket is a minor thing to a lawyer and in the Tulsa Municipal Court that i was in, there were 7 lawyers sitting in desks designated for each of them....all their clients were people who did something domestically associated....only about 2 or 3 of people that had lawyers had traffic violations and i remember that all of them had to pay a fine in the end and the lawyer just told the judge their clients names and basically spoke for them which didnt help at all because they didnt say anything significant that couldve been to their benefit....i just dont think its worth it...

dood there is no possible way that you would get out of a ticket going 27 over the limit... they might give u a warning and go easy on u with a small fine if it was a couple of miles over no biggie. I guess I gotta feel lucky since I also got a ticket yesterday for seat belt and having my front license plate on my dash lol... they let me go for the license plate but I got a $40 fine for the seat belt... no points though thank the Lord :D

$40!!.....weak.....Tulsa's is $20....they're jippin you man, hehe....ive never gotten one of those yet but i know how to get out of one if i do get one...btw this sucks even more, but have you ever looked at a receipt from like your average moving traffic violation??...if your cited to pay like $120....your ticket cost is really like $40 or something small like that...on my receipt of one of mine i had a long time ago, i remember like $15 of it when to some library improvements fund....like wtf, i never remembered voting on that sh*t....oh well..

theres a difference between reckless driving and aggrivated/aggressive speeding....definitively and in terms of cost too....my friend got a speeding ticket because he was riding his crotch rocket on the highway going 150 and got aggrivated/aggressive speeding....and a court appearance...of course, they wrote that he was going well into the hundreds on the ticket and got away with much more than a fine....

Hey guys, ok. I was looking at my ticket yesterday while i was out driving at stop lights. Well the cop put down that my court day is June 27th or 29th. I cant read the damn thing. So ill have to call and find out. But anyways. Guess what day he put that i got my ticket on? He put that he gave me my ticket on June 28th, 2005. When i got it on May 28th, 2005 instead. Think that can get me out of my ticket now? Expecially if my court day was the 27th, i could be like how can i get a ticket for tomorrows date?

    What you all think now?
