How fast is the Matrix XRS compared to the Corolla XRS?

About a second slower, at least, 0-60 and through the 1/4. The Matrix outweighs the Corolla by like 250-300lbs. That extra weight is also a sore point for some - as they tend to rub out clutches pretty fast. But then again, the guys that complain the loudest do a clutch drop at 8K to make sure the engine just into lift early in the run. Still - I can feel the clutch burn up if I use it to hold the car on the hill - slowly getting out of the habit of doing that.

Nice! Looks like he got the optional 17" wheels, the ones that usually come on the XRS model.

Matrix is the vehicle that kind of grows on you - first time I drove it - I thought it was a bit odd. After a little while, you get used to the blind spots that it has and the flexible utility of the design is hard to beat. Hopefully, Toyota doesn't kill this one off or atleast repalce it with one similar it purpose.

re-read what you wrote and maybe put in some periods or commas to separate your words in proper english.

Good to see another Matrix owner onboard this forum. I like MO its great DIY guides - unfortunantely, been way too busy to have any free time to goof around with the car. If I remember correctly - also from the VA area?
