    Headlight Reflector

Hey guys, my car's leased and i talked to a guy at the dealership who told me that i can do anything to my car as long as it's returned to stock when i bring it back at the end of the lease. So i was wondering if anybody happened to know if it's possible to get the lense off the headlight so i can take the reflector out without destroying it. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Yes you can but it would be wayyyy to much of hassle cuz u would have to take ur headlight apart and then reseal them...

    Re: Headlight Reflector

You could just buy a used set of OEM headlights from someone or off ebay to use when you need to return the car. I know this method requires money but not the hassle of opening your headlights like someone has already mentioned.

Ooops, he meant the yellow reflector... I was thinking the reflector behind the bulb...

I have to re-read his post again...

Anywayz, that looks sweet without the yellow reflector!

Hey, what are the chances that I'm going to screw it up if I do it?

What's the worst thing that could happen?

    Thanks!

you can end up scratching up the whole inside which will look bad other than that, you may snap the tabs that hold the hlight in place if you dont do it carefully when installing and removing the assembly

Sigh... What's my alternative? Can I buy similar headlights without the reflectors (Altezza maybe)?

    Thanks!

D@mn! I really like that looks of that (without the reflector)...

I think the main thing that's me holding is the part where I pull out the headlight out of the car... Too many bolts and stuff to pull out...

Is there a way, I could take out the yellow reflector without taking out the headlights out of the car?

Hmm, I wonder... coz' I dont think you will need to take out the whole housing when the bulb dies... You guys know what I mean... Let say, the yellow bulb burned out, I can replace it without taking the whole thing out, right?

I gotta go check, or let me know if you guys already tried, and it's a no go...

    Thanks!

You don't need to remove the light to change bulbs. The only method I know of removing the orange reflector without openiing the light involves breaking it and pulling it out through the turn signal hole. I'm not sure if you can fit tools into the turn signal hole and break the reflector off without removing the headlight. Seems like there isn't enough space in the engine bay but take a look, maybe you can.

If you want to go with my previous suggestion of buying an extra set of headlamps... here is an auction for you. :D

Which lights? If you mean the ones in the ebay auction.. the pic looks kinda crappy to me so I can't really tell what's up. I know that the plastic headlight housing on the S is slightly smoked compared to the clear CE/LE headlights.

If you mean the lights in my pics, its because in the close up pic, the car was dirty and dusty. In the distant pic, the sun wasn't hitting it, so it wasn't very shiny.
