Oh? I thought it's other way around?
Anyhow, since our 1zz header is soooooooooo short (1' or so??), don't think you will see much difference between 4-2-1 and 4-1.

i heard that a 4-1 header makes more power in the top end.

i also heard that a 4-1 header makes more all around power.

more of a "race style" but i think that the 4-2-1 makes for better torque down low?

i would say if you can get your hands on a 4-1 system, get that.

4-1 is more for high rpm powerband engines , ones that require the revs to stay up to generate the most power . 4-2-1 is better for our daily drivers they have more of an all around scavenging effect , and keep low end torque from being demminished.

4-1 for daily driven = poor torque
4-2-1 for daily driven = even torque
4-1 for race = scavenge effect at high rpm = top end hp
4-2-1 for race = poor movement at high rpm (+7000rpm's)

simply put , the 4-2-1 is better for a low revving , near stock or stock vehicles

when you have headers, do you have to do a midpipe and a hi flow cat or can you use it on a catback?

alphawerks is really good for 4-2-1 but obx makes 4-1 headers. 4-2-1 headers are actually better for hp vs torque. the obx are around $200 on ebay but alphawerks is $400. im planning to buy obx and then cutting the merging area short and attaching a cat-back without a cat for the most power
