    Header for 02...

I did a search on this forum to see if there was one available for the 02 and I get the impression that there isnt any... Is there a way to get some company interested in developing one??? Headers for the 02 would be really nice, im sure im not the only one who wants them.

although it would be nice, one of two things will happen.

1 - nobody will be interested in it once it comes out
    2 - they'll complain about the price.

that's how it was when people were considering making turbo kits. it's unfortunate, but a lot of these folks don't want to pay to play.

that said, if you DO manage to get someone interested, i will congratulate you and probably be one of the first to buy it.

What were wer looking for when in came to pricing? How much hp increase would you get from just headers anyway? I want to get them, but they have to be worth it. If they are not too expensive, and the hp they make are worth it, then I will buy them for my '02

    it's *a* header...because you only have 4 cylinders.

    just a heads up there.

to be honest with you- i didnt feel much gain on my 4afe... its more of a "psychological" boost i'm sure, but nothing to brag about- if i could reverse in time-im sure i woulve never gotten a header...besides-its expensive (300+ including installation) gives off SOO much more heat than the stock manifold...too many negatives outway the positives...

stock cat, 2.5 inch OBX racing catback... and believe me-the stock cat is actually keeping whats left of my low end torque...oh and the exhaust system didnt help much either-it just sounds radical! and im not in the minority-most people are afraid to admit the truth when they get expensive bolt ons-that the money wasnt worth the gains...

so your saying that paying 275 for a header is a bad idea, but then of course if you had a group buy it could knock that down a bit, not sure how much but its better than nothing.

of course-its better, actually -ive felt some nice boost on the highway-when im cruisin at 65+, when i floor it to pass someone-i feel quite a pull that ive never felt b/f-but thats about it-it still takes forever to get to the speedlimit... but in the end-IT basically boils down to this: the engine and its power: were talking about a 3speed 4afe...the bottom of hte pitt, youve most liklye have a 1zz-fe-about 15 to 25 more horsies than i have...thats a lot more potential to work with...

the headers for the corolla are a fateful dream since i have been waiting for a message from alphawerks. they say to me that they made a prototype already and tested it (and it worked), but that they have not started a large production yet. this has been the same answer from about 3 months. and they told me that by the end of the summer maybe i would get it. i am an unofficial seller but if i can get it i will surely put it to sale for everyone (while supply last). i will make sure to tell when i get it.

not likely...because it'll be too expensive, and people will bitch about the price and not want to buy it.
