Ive done constant hard driving down backroads for for 15 mins straight and engine temp doesn't go up at all. You might need it if you have big mods though.

bigger radiators don't do anything. they don't make your car run cooler, they don't give you horse power. they just weigh down your car and cool water faster. hell, even Perrin's 600hp STi has the stock radiator. the only way to get a cooler engine, is to get a different thermostat. you don't even need to do this unless you have different internals. if you do cool the engine too much, it will never reach operating temp and the internal tolerances will never be right. you only cool the engine down if you have different internals or are creating something high revving.

If you are over heating, then you need to check for leaks, air in the lines, or old fluid. If you are not over heating, then this is a stupid waste of money. You are not going to gain anything, because if the radiator cools the coolant much quicker, than the thermostat will just close sooner. If you are wanting the car to run cooler change the thermostat. Even then though, you aren't going to do anything but make the car run rich, because it will think it is colder and pump more gas to try and heat things up for optimal temperature.

    it says:

    "meets and exceeds OEM specification"

which usually means it's just barely better than the bare minimum that your warrant requires..... you'll see that same comment on cheaper air/oil filters as well
