if you mean hardwire as in fabricating it into the dash i dont recommend doing it because hte most strategic spot to put a radar detector is on the winshield.

check the pics in my sig.

you can mount the detector up at the top of the windshield (the perfered spot, up high).

run the power wire up under the headliner lip, down behind the "a" pillar (it just pulls off), then down behind the dash. connect at a switched hot.

half hour work, no dangling wires for theaves to spot...

okay, cool thanks! If i need to extend the wire for the Radar what kind should i use? and do i need to ground it? or i can just splice it into the Ciggeratte Plug/Fuse?

The Beak, how did you remove the Yellow part from the lenses?? That is awesome looking, nice and clean blends with the paint. I was thinkin about getting projector lights or black ones but I'd rather have your clear ones now.

its mcguires gold gloss. my current favorite. its a little harder to "wax off" than some ive used, but it shines up pretty nice.

yup, just followed the DIY, note that you dont need to remove the rims, just crank the wheel over to lock and peel back the splash shield in the wheel well (no need to remove that either)

forgot to answer the actual on topic part here

my detector (a valentine one) came with the necessary length of wire. you will need a switched +12v (the lighter will work) and a ground.
