Engine hard to shift.

    hard to shift.

    Is it possible to lubricate the shifter on an automatic tranny. My shifter feels really hard to move out of 1 and 2. all the other gears move ok. Is this a sign of something worse, i just thought that maybe since i really use 1 or 2 the shifter just need to be lubricated.

    Of course it has a "D" - unless dude is riding around @ redline on the interstate in 2nd gear all the time...but who knows...there are stranger things, I'd suppose.

    Take it apart and see what's in there. I'd bet there's something in there that you could lube up to make it a little smoother ;)
