I got it and I've been playing the hell out of it. Have you played the past GT games? If so then you will appreciate that in this one there is realistic tire smoke, even the tire tracks stay on the ground for the whole race. Engine sounds are better, even the reverse lights come on now (that always bugged me before). Not to mention damage, a better photo mode, and 1031 cars. The kart racing is kinda cheesy, not realistic from the experience that I have with shifter karts, anyway. The track maker is kinda neat, not as in depth as I'd prefer but it's good. And with the dynamic weather, including rain, I can't wait to drive in the rain, as opposed to just a wet track like before. You can control the high beams for the headlights, windshield wipers and even the horn now. This will be great. Can't wait to get to the higher race classes, gotta get the last two licenses and unlock the extreme mode. 24 hour endurance race at the Nurburgring FTMFW.

    Double post:
Also I like that when you change a car in your garage, you can hear it start up with the correct audio, and it changes if you put mods on your car such as I have. My EK hatch sounds mean when I start it up lol
Speaking of that Honda and the above mentioned tire smoke... Full stage 3 turbo + other mods + no traction control = 400 horsepower = fun burnouts... even in 4th gear all the way down the back straight of Tsukuba circiut. It really chews through the meats really quick though, gotta stay off that boost mid corner lol
And one more thing, the photo mode is better because you have the option of saving the pictures right to your PS3 harddrive, which makes it easier to share them on here yay! lol
I say we make this a discussion and pics thread to share our cars.

They got the Indy and Daytona tracks in there, yes. And so far, only the 4 cars in that picture... It's like a learning test you have to pass first. I don't know if the ones that are still locked are like a full-fledged race or not. But at this point, it's kinda cheesy.

I've never really played the older ones too much but I tried GT5 with a Logitech wheel. Its a blast to play! I just wish there was more customization involved.

There is more than any previous GT games... I'll post up more pics of my Lotus Elise (which tops out at 206 mph FTW) which show the evolution that has taken place. See the pic I put in the post up there where it's doing the wheelie? It's way different now.

Thanks man. Yours look nice too.

Just a quick tip when taking photos: If you're taking any shots while your car is in motion, press triangle first and change the panning option to mode 3. This will keep the car in focus, but will blur the wheels. It makes a BIG difference. This will also allow you to use a much longer shutter speed so that you can get more background blur but still keep the car perfectly focused. Also, always focus your photos before taking them by hovering the square shape over a main panel of the car and pressing the square button. This will prevent any other parts of the track from being the main focus point, so your car will always look it's sharpest :)

Yeah I know all that lol I've been doing the photo thing since GT4
I don't bother with the focus stuff with the crappier cars, I only bother with the better more important cars. If you look at like the SRT8 Challenger it's really good pictures. It's one of my favorite cars in real life so I took my time with taking the pics. But thanks, good looking out :)

I won Jay Leno's Tank Car yesterday by doing the American Championship in the Extreme Series. I'm glad I didn't actually buy it because it's disappointingly slow. Nice to look at though.
