Ground wires on the car (pic added)

not much to see in a picuure, just a few 4 guage wires strung around the engine bay. so no new pic right now....

results: well worth the 30 bucks and an hours time it cost.

    1) easier starting. you know how you get used to how a car starts (rev, rev, rev, vroom....) it catches me "by suprise" every time now (rev, rev, vroom)

    2) smoother idle. less "hunting" for an idle speed.

    3) smoother power through the mid range. less hesitation, especially noticible during clutch let out. if I let out a bit too soon (not enough throttle) where id get a hesitation before i now get smoother power.

That's exactly what I noticed, not really a power gaining mod, just a smoother engine 8)

It's a ground upgrade... I've had great results from replacing the thin stock crimped battery ground cable splitting to the engine and smaller wire to frame, for a soldered #1 gauge wire to the larger ground bracket bolt on top of tranny, and a #4 gauge wire to frame (sanded down to bare metal), under battery.
Easier starting, idle is more stable, better electrical output, and I swear I got more torque and power, which is what impressed me the most for a $27 custom upgrade. I will now upgrade the frame to engine ground. (front of tranny to driver's side strut chassis)

    dug up a picture:

wire is run from battery ground to body/frame, battery ground to tranny, tranny to head, head to the other side of the head, other side of the head to body/frame.

this was shot during the install, the engine cover is back on now.

the picture also shows the $2 A/C mod, also highly worth the time and trouble.

I think I'm going to do this now too. What brand of groundwires did you use?

    PBR brand :)

got them HERE but you could probaly make your own. some four guage wire, ring terminals and some time and bang, your grounded.

i believe that PBR will still make a set or two to order, if he had the materials anymore...

Maybe insulate the intake pipe too to prevent the pipe from heating up too much. I'll be looking foward to the ground wires DIY.

4 gauge is good... You want to start by improving the ground right at the source with a heavy duty battery ground terminal connector that is soldered to preferably a #1 gauge wire to engine and a #4 gauge frame ground wire, both with soldered terminals. You can also upgrade the engine to frame ground wire.

Re: Ground wires on the car (pic added)

So now it's ONE less "rev"... all that wires only to minimize ONE "rev"..
