    Ground Controls

so i know a few people on here have/have had Ground Control coilovers on their 93-02 corollas.
what's the best price you folks can come up with for them? this is my big purchase for next year...and i'm shopping around for the best price.
yeeeeeees i know they're just inserts with Eibach springs...and yeeeees i know they're "not as good" as a full coilover system...but i'm just plain NOT interested in dropping $1500 on a full coilover system.

i'm also not interested in your opinions for other brands, other kinds of suspension setups, or any other input regarding anything BUT Ground Controls and how it's a good move for me. thankyoudrivethrough

so. what's YOUR best price for Ground Controls?

i bought just my fronts for 240 shipped like 4 years ago. so at 400 shipped the price has at least gone down. the cool thing about "just inserts with an eibach spring, is that changing springs is just a matter of dropping the strut housing. and the adjustment is fun to play with, but youll find ONE that works just perfect.... and it wont be slammed.

Just curious, why coilovers? Are you really going to adjust them that often?

cool...i prefer driving on coilovers compared to the current setup i have, as well. after Derrick had them on his car, i started to like them a little more than i used to...and i got used to adjusting them on a friend's car(he takes it to a local autox track every sunday). since they're not terribly hard to adjust, i'm more enamored with this idea than a full coilover setup.

i don't like my current springs, and i will be taking the vehicle to the track.

furthermore, my reasons are my own. didn't post this for people to question my reasons for buying them - just looking for prices. thankyoudrivethrough. :)

you dont have to spend 1500 for decent coilover setups..

you can pick up a set of d2 coilovers for about 1000 or you can pick up a set of ksports for about 800

if i'm going for a full coilover setup, i wouldn't be getting "decent" coilovers...i'd go all out.

furthermore, i'm not interested in spending more than $400 for it.

Yeah I've heard that rumor too. I think they're just an insert with Eibach springs.

Ya know... instead of Ground Controls, why don't you buy a REAL coilover system?

I think he said after he installed the swap bar, it scatched like crazy if he lowered the car around 2" or so. So there was no point to have the GC if he wasn't gonna adjust it anymore.
