Got my new alarm w/ LCD & remore start!

Well today I got installed the Prestige APS 996 alarm with remote start and pager. I must say I love it, i've had an auostart alarm before in 2 cars and this is much better! The pager is just too cool can't take my off it right now! I love the temperature function and the vibrating sensor or whatever is cool. When i bang the window it chirps 6x and if I hit it again it will go off, or if i really hit it hard it goes off right away. Also the blue LED it comes with is amazing, I also got a blue LED scanner installed and wired to the alarm it looks real good! Jeez but blue LED scanners are expensive this one cost me $70 but it was too nice to pass up. The alarm & install & LED was $720 CDN plus tax, but from how it is right now it was worth every penny! I definately recommend it for anyone right now, if you have any questions post back, or if you have this alarm let me know how yours is! Thanks.

Ultra Start AS something, it was 700 USD, but the guy at my shop gave me a deal, cuz i've been a customer for the past 6 years. i also modded it alittle, i rigged in 3 more shock sensors to a total of 4, it works like a biaach now, u cant touch the car soft enuff anywhere to not set it off.
b4 u say i'm crazy, i did that to be close to all my wheels so if they are gettin jacked, i can leave some bullet holes. i've had 2 break ins and one theft and once it got stolen and stripped. but that was my old car....

what's ur range, mine is 1.5 mile radius and it actually works too. i wanna get that led scanner, but that'll happen later too

Does installing an alarm system other than a toyota one void the warranty?

O and I looked at the system you have.. very cool, althugh it must be cheaper over here because i can get it for around $150 USD over here

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3028672674&category=14934.

But thats w/ out installation which looks pretty complicated..... O and by the way can you make your car start up too witht that fancy remote of yours?, pics would be nice too :p I love electronics and i think i might just have to get a sweet security system as my first big mod. Also, do you work for an airline?

    hey

hey well i guarantee at your local dealer it will be much more, and no i dont work for an airline im 17, i plan to though, i plan to instruct while going through uni, and at 18 have my commercial multi-IFR and instructor rating. and about the alarm its so sweet especially the blue LED it's tight, and the arming sound is cooler than most, plus the remote vibrates and has a backlight, and with the remote it tells me the temp inside the car, which is sooo cool.

    hey

The only way to succeed in aviation is to be better than everyone around you, and be the youngest, i started when i was 15 solo'd at 15, got my first license at 16, and private now at 17I had requirements and tests done wayyy before i was 17) , i work at my flight school as dispatch, and hope to make it left seat someday on a jet, umm about erau it's good from what i hear but will it make you any more competitive against anyone else with a uni degree, not really......it's all about how much flight time you have and who you know without either you're going nowhere sadly....

The rules in Europe must be different over there, because over here the earliest you can solo is 16 and the earliest you can acquire your Private license is 17. If your not going to Erau, where do you plan to go for college?

Hey I just bought that model, and am getting it installed tomorrow. Im getting all the extras on it too, the auto roll up window module installed, the led and led sensor installed, the windo sensor installed, all for 400.00. After that I can finally get my system and get some beat.

    hey

hey, yea its an awesome alarm... lol all that stuff comes with the alarm, and to get window wound down thing its just an extra relay lol.. its a sweet alarm, but the receoption is not as good as others cheapter, for example when u go to arm and unarm car you have to hit the button very fast, if u hold it it will do other things such as mute the alarm etc..... usually if u can hold down the button on other alarms the signal can go farther..... so i'm not that overall happy with it.
