Now that I see the pictures, I do see something out of place... Remember how I told you over AIM how I was worried about which model coilovers you had(older or newer)? I was pretty sure you had the newer, but now from the pictures, it's apparent you have the older ones. The sway bar link perch you have is a sliding one. If you notice, it has locking collars on either side of it to hold it in place. The newer ones use a threaded perch with a locking hex key. You might want to call up Ksport and ask them to send you the new threaded perches before you install them. And remember to check that the shock body doesn't protrude from the lower mount body when lowering in the front. You don't want to destroy your cv boots. Those two things are the biggest design flaws I can see. Other than that, they're great coilovers. My NEX SS didn't have those problems since the sway bar link is actually one piece with the lower mount body. The shock body is also a lot shorter to prevent rubbing on the cv too.

I thought the hex key was the older design and the two perch was the newer design. My buddy brought a set 3 yrs ago and they used the hex key design. Then he brought another set last yr because the old set blown and it came with the two extra spring perches.

The hex key is actually the new design. It simplifies the installation process since you only need to tighten the hex clamp instead of having to deal with rotating and tightening the 2 extra perches. jcrwzr ordered the new hex collar to replace the sliding one since the old one had trouble staying in place.

so the set my buddy got 3 yrs ago was the new design and the one he got a yr ago was the old design?

i wish they just weld it to the shock body like every other manufacturer. And weld on some real brake line retainers while they're at it.

I have no idea why that is. All I know is that the threaded one is the new design. Maybe the place he bought it from had the old ones from before in stock.

Since we're talking about KSports, I think I found out why jcwzr and rollatuner110's camber plate is facing in an odd angle.

Eric, and Jon could you guys confirm that your camber plate looks like this? Take note on where the bolts are located.

The 6th, 7th, and 8th gen's bolts should be in this arrangement.

the hex key slider ones are the old model ksports.... then my sway bar links broke and told ksport to send me collars to put on top and below the sway bar end link.

then ksport started slappin on collars on top and below the hex key sliding sway bar end links.

NOW they're threaded with collars on top and below. my ksports are up to date. and so are 93geo's. you're good man..

nope... i have the threaded sway bar end links. i still secured them with collars on top and below. regardless if thery're the old or new design... (i think it's the new design, because what i got 2 years ago was super ghetto) i like em! the hex key design is horrible. those bent and broke on me and aslo broke my original sway bar links. if you have the hex key design, make sure you have the collars above and below it, and that everything is tight.

the bottom pic jspex has up is what i have minus that thin sway bar kink. the bottom pic also doesn't show the collars above and below the sway bar end link. i personally would want collars locking the top and bottom of the swaybar end link to eliminate rattling

    you're right!

but i didn't blow my shocks hhehe

it faces in a weird angle becasue of the holes on the corolla... either you drill new holes under the hood, or we get ksport to rotate the pillowball mount to face horizontal after it's bolted up.

those pics i posted are from 3yrs ago BTW. Last yr two of the shocks blew and they went into the trash. My buddy ordered another set of ksports after than and the design is like you described with collars sandwiched between the swaybar link.

But you still have no way of securing it in place without having to use the perches. You can just leave it I guess, but I would get the new ones.
