took 3 hours to install. Car looks great! Mirror like quality. Lighter tint on front windows to prevent tickets. Very happy

it is 20% in the back and side windows, or that is what the invoice says.
Kinda pricey, 240 bucks but that was the lowest price I could find for metallic tint. This kind of tint is expensive, yes but it gave my 'rolla a definite "Lexus" look.

wow!! u paid 240 for your tint?? I thought i paid a high price of like 130... i have i think 13% on the rear and back, and i have 35% up front

yep, it's damn expensive down here in San Diego.
I shopped around, They all quoted me a minimum of $200 for regular limo black tint.
Metallized was higher.

will the Metallic tint reflect the SUN? and blind other drivers if they're behind you?
just wondering if there was a safety issue here. But your tints really look amazing!

Metallic films will not fade as quickly dyed films. Dyed films will turn purple over years of exposure to the sun. Also, metallic films have better heat reflecting/blocking capabilities (think of low-e glass) as increased UV blocking (keeps interior from fading and or cracking).

I've got a lifetime warrenty on my film, if it EVER turns puple, bubbles, or fades I can take it in and get it redone for free.

looks really nice. Looks like there isn't tint there heh.... Does it have a silver look to it or does it just reflect like nothing is there? Cause... that looks nicer then black if it looks likes nothing is there.

in shady light, my tint reflects off a silverish color, not as obnoxious as that "chrome tint"... in bright light, its more of a black... ill snap some pics of the diff. on my car in the next few days if theres any diff. in the way it looks outside and post em up.

The installer was all freaked out about legal issues. i guess.
It is illegal to have tint in the front windows here in California.
He did install a very light tint but, hopefully, invisible to the cops!

thats odd... u coulda always have opted out of a receipt for the sale and lose the warranty prolly just for the front... thats odd how the installer wouldnt do it for ya. the guy i took mine to said he'd do darker then legal for me but just without a receipt.

hehehehe.. Yep its illegal alright. In california the front 3 windows is illegal to have tint on. But the back windows you can have up to 35%.

In arizona you can have all the windows tinted up to a %
