Got me an RS front lip!

I can't wait! I've always wanted one but the one supershyguy has for the 98-00 was fugly IMHO. I came across this and I knew I had to have it.

There's still one more being sold by this seller. They allow for local pick up so I'm gonna pick it up after I'm contacted.
And there's another seller but based in Canada.

I compared to the pics of the shyguy front lip.

The other is so much sexier. hehe

Can someone photoshop the lip above to the first shyguy lip pic? Its at the same angle.

So with this lip, you had to cut the bottom of the stock bumper to fit it? I know you cut the stock bumper a while back, but can this lip fit the stock bumper if the bottom piece wasn't cut? And what is tthe material used in the lip strong? BTW, it looks good.

You don't have to cut the bumper. The lip wraps just around the middle bar section of the bumper. It fits very well with no modifications. You just need double sided tape and a little drilling to mount it. I'm going to have to remove it again or tape of sections of the bumper so I can paint it white.

The ebay seller I got it from still has a lot in stock. Check out the link in my first post.

From the front and the side, the ridges that remain where you cut out the piece of bumper running across the middle of the air vent should be sanded down. Otherwise it doesn't look right.

I've tried... but that's the best its ever going to be. Its a protruding ridge so even if I did sand it down more, a hole would form in the front. I've covered most of the hole with bondo already so it looks 10 times better.

hehe thanks. I'm actually going to paint it white with some color matched car spray paint and then a few coats of clear.

I painted it. I posted pics in the 8th gen showoff megathread.

    Black or White?

I'm thinking about painting my front lip black again. Should I do it? It gives it a more aggressive look. I'm not going to consider painting the skirts or rear valences, only the front.

I didn't need to cut those pieces out at all. I had in fact already removed them as a previous modification. It will fit without any cutting. You will have to drill. That is about it. Everything else requires 3M tape.

im fully aware, im actually pretty good at this car stuff, i do it for a living, and i am fully certified

i was asking becuse i think i may do it, because it hardens the look of the car up alot, makes it look agressive and less cutesy, i think on mine tho i would op to inset some sort of girll where the holes are, but yours still looks excelent
