Good use for those vertical slots on right of steering wheel

Well, I foudn a good use for those slots that no one seems to know what they are for.



I just drilled them out, put a grommit on there and ran my 10 pack MP3 cd chganger remote through it. the cord is long enough for guys in the back seat to hold and control (not that they get too!), and when its velcored in place the cord sits nicelyt behind the dash where I cant see it.

That looks clean. The slots are the "ears" for the factory alarm system. A broken window will arm the no-start feature and the alarm.

Ideas for efficient uses of available space are always a good thing!

I was gonna use those same slots for my cell phone car kit, but my cell phone is quickly becoming a POS, screwing up all the time, so may abandon that idea.

At first I didnt have the grommet on there, so it was just a square hole. I was happy with it, but my wife the perfectionist insisted I fix it. Im glad I did, it looks much vbetter now.
