    glasspacks

Has anybody here thought of putting a glasspack on a 00-02 corolla for the muffler? Thought it would be an interesting idea and see if anybody else thought of it?

Don't do it. It will obstruct exhaust flow and make you lose power, not to mention sound like crap. Go with a straight through design like Magnaflow or Flowmaster.

yeah actually i built one myself and already installed it. i welded mandrel bent tubing on to it and then bolted it on. it has a 2 inch diameter after some of the fiberglass burned up it actually sounded pretty good just loud as hell when you are going about 45 mph. I like it though only problem is that i live in Ohio and the snow and salt made it rust up pretty quick but the stainless tubing still looks good.

i had to fabricate it all in my garage since it was winter so the lighting was very porr so i decided not to take any pics but once i was my car i will take some pics deffinitely maybe this weekend. I was very happy with the set up the only complaint is that it is kind of high near the bumper and has actually melted some of the plastic i should cut some of the bumper to make a round hole for the exhaust. But is was an easy build except for taking that rubber thing off that holds the stock muffler to the car.

On my old 86 nova with the 4-ac motor my brother and his buddies welded on a glasspack and it sounded pretty good. at low rpms it didnt sound the greatest bc i had a pretty messed up head gasket and it just misfired like crazy but in the high rpms it sounded really good. no high pitched ricer sound. it was clean sounding.

but then again that car had a hole in the converter too so idk lol

LOL. Did he see his Supra in the parking lot too? I like how Bubb Rubb showed off the whistle tip by driving on the wrong side of the road and blowing through a stop sign on the live tv. LOL :D

I have a Glasspack on our Corolla. It don't sound too bad if you use a larger outside diameter glasspack with a tip that matches the diameter of the inlet.
