Getting new muffler installed tomorrow, need opinions

Hey, i just bought a new muffler for my 01, it's an Aerospeed generic muffler (i know its not the best one to get, i really want a TRD one but dont have that much $$$$) this'll have to suffice in the meantime :p

My question is what other mods can i make to my stock exhaust piping. (What are the 2 Catalyst-like things on the piping? are they both catalyst or what?)

I don't really need them cause where im at, i dont get any inspections on my car or dont have to worry bout emission laws or anything, so what would be the ideal mod to the stock piping besides the muffler?

you need to keep the resonator to keep the exhaust from sounding like crap......you can replace it with a glasspack muffler though to free things up. since you have no emissions you can run a testpipe instead of a Cat if you want, but that pollutes the air for everyone.

k then... i'll probably end up removing the cat and just soldering a piece of pipe in, im gonna keep my stock resonator untill i can get a better sounding and less restrictive one.

well i just got home of getting the muffler welded on... has a great deep tone, im very impressed, gonna try to post up some vids of it for you guys.

I left my stock cat and resonator cause i guess it sounded nice enough like that... and removing the cat does turn the loudness a few notches... gonna make some more research and then figure out what im gonna do... any suggestions?

i heard removing your cat will make your car ALOT louder- especially w/ a straight through resonator design..

My resonator was pulled when I first had my catback installed..I had one put in shortly thereafter. It sounded like crap without it...there's some serious buzzing at 4000+rpm.
