    Getaway ideas QUICK!!!

Hey guys (and girls), I'm facing another Easter with my parents sitting for 3 days stuffing our faces untill the scale does full circle.

So i'm trying to desperatelly getaway with my girl, somewhere, anywhere as long as there are things to do and ways to kill 3 days! Something like Alexandria, VA.

Any ideas?! and yeah we are kinda running on a budget with me working 10 hours a week nowdays.

    Why Alexandria VA??? lol

Id recommend the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. Take her to the Aquarium, http://www.baltimore.org/baltimore_aquarium.htm and the Maryland Science Center http://www.baltimore.org/Maryland_science_center.htm and the IMAX Theatre....go drinking and dancing at PowerPlant Live http://www.powerplantlive.com/, and then go shopping on the harbor at Harborplace and the Gallery: "The heart of Baltimore's renowned Inner Harbor, these unique shopping centers feature a mix of 101 unique shops, 16 sit-down restaurants and 40 diverse eateries, with live entertainment on the waterfront."

All of the above is within walking distance of any inner harbor hotel. You could also catch a comedy show: http://www.baltimorecomedy.com/

What kind of budget we talking bout here? You can pick up a harbor pass, which will give you discounts everywhere, a IMAX movie, free cover at all the power plant bars/dance clubs......free admission to the aquarium......50 bucks a person....get it here: http://www.baltimore.org/visitors/v...vations_hp.html

Oh, and my travel agent fee is a 6 pack, shipped to my house, lol

damn Eric, day too late, I couldn't find anything decent and so I booked some broadway shows, like Phantom of the Opera and Chicago, maybe BB Kings is having someone good

but I will keep this saved since its a great IDEA!

why alexandria? cause its a nice old colonial town with some stuff to see, good food, good pubs and romantic.

I'll send you some of the import russian brew I have in my stores how about that? Baltika beer running at 8.5 % alc.

i'm with Eric on the list of ideas he gave you - Baltimore might not have one of the great skylines that so many cities are known for, but it's certainly got its own charm.

I'm all for it like I said, maybe in june i will have some money and time. Living close to the city has its charms but after 7 years i saw all i wanted to see, time for the rest of america. And right now I'm hardly employed, maybe after tommorow I will be totally unemployed. (since my boss wants to use me for an errand boy and kept promising me a raise so its not so bad for me part time but hasn't come through with it for 2 months and yesterday I found out that he's been giving extra financing to the chick who made a huge mess in the office and for which I was blamed and in turn downsized/fired and she was suppose to be too but got more hours instead and now i know extra financing, now I know where the money save on me not working went to, so I told him to piss off)
