    Gas prices are insane!

Last I remember, gas was ~$2.29-2.35 a gallon..I went to put some in today, and it's anywhere from $2.49 to $2.61 for 87 octane..this is ridiculous. Somebody's making way too much money..and it's definitely not me. :(

We're up to $2.98 for premium here. Maybe this will help the Corolla scene since nobody will be able to afford to drive 350z's, STI's and Supra's :)

87 octane is $2.55 a gallon here. rediculous. does anyone know why the prices went up for no apparent reason again?

i will never get a super charger for my tC now. even though they have delayed it a year, i will never get a car that requires premium. goodbye to dream of a WRX and a cooper S. sad

    gas here in CO is:

    85- $2.35
    87-$2.45
    91-$2.55

but at the shell stations is like 15-20 cent more than usual cause their fuel is so good.

If gas prices go up anymore I'm converting my car to Propane and installing a fill station in my house so I can just top off my car from the house ;)

ummm how do you figure that? Iraq is only payin like $0.05-$0.10/gallon, Filling a 22-gallon tank in Baghdad with low-grade fuel costs just $1.10, plus a 50-cent tip for the attendant. A tankful of high-test costs $2.75.

Here's a list of some other countries and their gas prices:

    GEORGIA TBILISI $2.31
    LAOS VIENTIANE $1.66
    THAILAND BANGKOK $1.60
    CHINA TIANJIN $1.54
    CHINA SHANGHAI $1.48
    RUSSIA MOSCOW $1.45
    KAZAKHSTAN ALMATY $1.36
    KAZAKHSTAN ATYRAU $1.35
    TAJIKISTAN DUSHANBE $1.32
    AZERBAIJAN BAKU $1.15
    VENEZUELA CARACAS $0.14

Granted I wouldn't wanna live in the UK right now.. OMG... Here's some that are higher, hehe.

    UK TEESIDE $5.64
    HONG KONG HONG KONG $5.62
    GERMANY FRANKFURT $5.29
    DENMARK COPENHAGEN $5.08
    NORWAY STAVANGER $5.07
    ITALY ROME $4.86

Maybe in 6-9mos. the price might rise to $3/gal. for reg. I hope not but it looks like it.
Inspite of all the oil refineries here & our direct supplier from Venezuela.
So far what I've been doing whenever my gas gauge gets to half I have it filled up at least it's not that much to pay. Enough w/ speeding on the freeway as well as in the streets w/ or w/o radar detector. It's not worth it w/ the price of gas. Stay w/in the posted speed limit...less show boating.
Just a word of advice to all.

its 2.37 a/gal for some areas others are at 2.59, yet diesel is at 2.22, but due to higher costs of some things it may go up higher.

Those of us w/ V8's and long commutes are suffering the worse. On a good day, with no traffic and a sweet tail-wind I can sneak 20 out of my truck, but on average...18.
