ok so which one is it?

There's others... Amoco/BP/Standard Oil, Mobil, Sunoco, Citgo, Unical (you listed Union 76)... and of course all of the rinky-dink local competitors.

I go where the gas is the cheapest and there's frequent turnover. 87 RON is what is recommended and I can't see any performance differences for "regular" (not leaded, but 87 RON) gasoline. Frequent turnover (i.e. busy) gas stations ensure that fuel is "fresh".

Now if you're speaking of high octane racing gas, which is often leaded, I would go for Unical/Union 76's 110. The highest non-leaded is Sunoco's Ultra 94 .

After almost two decades with Yamaha engines I recommend Chevron. Yamaha's own brand of fuel system cleaner is made by Chevron and they purchase by what's most effective not the cheapest available. The Techron additive is the best by far for internal cleaning of fuel systems, carbs, throttle bodies, and multiport injection systems.

Now having said that, I buy Exxon fuel because they are EVERYWHERE in my neighborhood and the price is generally the lowest of the major brands! When I do fill up with Chevron a bit better mileage is always noticed.

I put 150-180miles a day and fill up every day.I say cheveron. 80% is city driving.I've tryed others.................only one that comes close is shell.
