The V6 weighs as much as the 3S-GTE and it's a given that the 3S-GTE is heavier than the 1ZZ-FE (Iron > Aluminum in weight). So indeed I bet there was a weight difference. How much I don't know.

it would suck to finally accomplish the swap successfully then find out the passenger side of the car is lowered 2" more than the driver side =\

Heh..after I finish school (or get paid enough that I can afford a second car), maybe I'll keep mine in a garage and mess around with an Avalon engine..

It would be awesome to run a V6 and dual exhaust on a Corolla, and have it sound halfway decent..getting it to look right is another problem altogether. :p

Just think -- you can tell people you have "headers" in your Corolla -- and they can't correct you! :D

I was referring for a swap into a Corolla -- however, Corolla DX-R wasn't clear as to which car he referred to..

    Ah well. =)

    That's Bill Strong's MR2 from MR2OC.com. You should also see the Twin-Turbo 1UZ-FE V8 Celica.

yeah... i'm not too much of a mk2 or mk3 mr2 fan....... mainly because i enjoy a cheaper car to work on.... i'm in the middle of an S/C swap and cash out of my pocket i'm only out about $500 including buying the rust free car, the megasquirt ecu setup, and the JDM 4agze with LSD tranny (it cost more than $500, but it's hard to explain... i bought another mr2 for $200 then sold it for $700.... basically only $200 of that was mine.... used the $700 to buy the motor/tranny)
