    For the S/C'd

Well guys, I know all about the options that we have with our cars, and Yeah I am starting to see that the questions about the TRD supercharger are starting to get just a little annoying. I just want to here from those of you that have this done. I know the Numbers, I know How reliable it is, But I don't know how it feels. I want to know if you could discribe how the car reacts, in other words, what kind of car does it pull like? I have driven almost everything , does it pull like a GST, does it feel like a GT-S? I just want to know what to expect.

    Re: For the S/C'd

Pulls harder then a GT-S, no lag like the GST, doesn't feel heavier like either. You 0-60 time drops over one second. Your redline raises to 6800 (I can do a bit over 90 in third). I use to get 34 mpg tops without it, now I get 30 if I put around and 27 at the worse when I'm gunning it with 80/20 highway to city driving.

Warranty becomes voided and TRD covers your car now instead of Toyota.

Once installed little to no maintenance to 100K.

Some moderately modified cars you can beat easily, RSX-S, Civic Si, Fiero GT's, Mini Cooper S.

It sounds like a little jet engine when it whines.

I have video clips with SC'd installed and driving by. If you have broadband, drop me an e-mail and I'll send them to you guys.

I've been told 6.5-6.7 on a manual depending on the driver, probably 7.0-7.5 with an auto.

Think it would be worth it to put it on an auto?

I don't think our car is "slow" so to speak, but I'd like a little more umph. Also, does Toyota have to install the S/C? I know they're going to want to charge me out the (expletive deleted) for installation..

hmm-that would be up to you. I'd read more on it with the other sc'd autos. matrixowners.com is a good resource as many of the the sc'd matrixes are autos.

toyota does not have to install it, however the warranty is different, e.g. if you or someone other than toyota installs it, your car is covered up to a year, versus the remainder of your warranty which is usually longer.

I got mine installed by the dealer for $400, some ppl have gotten it done even cheaper.

I've already had warranty work on mine when I blew the ECU's and MAS (probably my own fault), could have costed me $1200.00

My install was cheaper... free, haha. Me and my friends put in in in just under 4 hours.

Definately some great info over at www.matrixowners.com under forced indection. I beat my friends RSX-S a few weeks ago. We were head to head until I slammed second... he couldnt keep up after that. It wasnt be any means a blow out, but I definately got him fair and square(by almost a car length). Hes not an awesome driver, but definately above average.

You have to run higher octane fuel because of knocking. My car knocked a little (because of the intake) but my water/methanol injection kit is on its way and will help out drastically (plus a 15% boost in Hp). There is also a smaller pulley now that increases the boost to just over 9 lbs. and raises another 20hp.

Its definately powerful, if I didnt have my motor mounts I dont know how I'd keep traction. I love it... its definately worth it in my opinion.

I don't believe the pulley alone won't give you that much more hp, maybe 5-10 tops. Everything does add up though, I'm sure you have read all over about Tyler's rolla.

Its a different pulley than Tylers, they found it over at MO.com and now everyones getting one. Its not safe to run unless you have a cooling system (water/methanol injection, intercooler, etc.)

They are looking for 10WHP, should be right about there but it should give more TQ which is what is needed

And actually, it's the same size pulley as Tyler has (2.3" vs the stock 2.4") so it will should be exactly the same.
