it looks like it would be slightly cooler that way than if it was slanting downwards closer to the manifold..not so sure though- but if this setup works- stick with it... oh and im also EXTREMELY surprised taht the guy on ebay who sells em is not out of stock already- i mean, arent there like hundreds of people who are looking for a fairly good and cheap intake for their 00's and up?

i think he is out of stock again... i spent almost 2 months waiting him to get them in stock since last time... but it was well worth it... its a pretty good RAI, i know i should tilt it downwards but IMO i think that'll get it hotter... later on i will try to see if there is any difference although i dunno how i would test it.

Some of you may know i have the exact same intake. It sounds good and that's about all it does for me.
    I HATE IT!
-The holes for the screws on the MAF sensor wasnt alligned properly.
-The filter goes to where the exhaust manifold is.
-It raddles on my brake cylinder whenver the car's on idle.
...The list goes on and on.

I'm going to get my money back this week and i'll probably go for the one thats bent in a U shape. Heres a picture of what I will probably be getting.

Yeah. I thought Bomz was good and that it was supposed to be direct fit but I thought wrong.

the u shape seems more logical. wats the point if the intake is by the manifold? too hot

u shape "seems" logical- looks like it wont fit right though..most likely have to relocate battery or slant it.. did you notice any boost at all fox? any "slight" power improvement? also, a heatsheild around the filter may help out a little- prob not much..

d_samurai i noticed a litle gain @ mid and high levels and a little loss actually on launching ... it just seems since it needs to pull more air now it needs a few more milisecs to launch from 0...

when i get a chance to compare on the track or street i'll post some results...

i want a heatshield but they're going for about $40 wich is more expensive than the intake itself... also some header wrap would help reduce heat in the area... but people have told me downfalls on using header wrap.

That thing really has no purpose at all...Just make your car sound a lil better. Not worth the money for that if you ask me but hey, whatever floats your boat.
