    F'ing Thieves!!!!!!!!

Its 3:00am here now I have been up since 2 when a neighbor rung my doorbell to wake me up and tell me that someone broke into my car. WTH! They smashed my windows and tried to steal my stupid ass broke CD player by ripping my dash apart. Luckily one of my neighbors were outside and saw it happen and chased them but never got the plate #. There are no prints or anything, I have nothing.
I don't have anything flashy on my car, rims and an ehaust. I never got around to getting an alarm because it's a F'ing corolla. This makes me furious, I never thought it would happen to me. I freaking leave my windows down during the day. I am truly angry AAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!

This might be the end of modding cars for me, even though I am not far into it. I have worked 3 hard years to save up enough extra cash to give my car a little something something and its not much. All I needed was to get my back bumper and I would have sent it off, along with my parts that I have gathered over the years I have been on these forums since the days of C3, to get it painted. That would have been the end of it, I would have been happy with that. But instead F'ing thieves have crashed my little party.

So this might be your lucky day for some of you 93-97 owners, if I decide to stop modding my car, I might be selling my FX bumper front lip. I know there have been many of you guys that wanted a lip and there has not been one made yet.

In the next few week I will be deciding if I will continue to finish my car or sell off my parts and return it back to stock.

Well, since I am not getting any sleep tonight, here are some pics that I just took

    Ripped up dash
    [IMG]

    No more Window
    [IMG]

After I moved my car into the garage, my window on the ground
    [IMG]

The rest of my window sitting in my driver seat
    [IMG]

And they stole my faceplate which makes my Cd player worthless.

he said he didn't have an alarm..

i think - especially for corollas - that owners should install an alarm or a couple of kill switches immediately. corollas are still on the top list of most stolen/broken into vehicles on the market. the civics still top us, but they're up there.

hey, sounds like what happened to me in march. heres a link to my car http://community.webshots.com/album/117848111eFjhsY

they tried to get in by prying off the door handle, but that didn't work, so they smashed the passenger window. the alarm blared and they still got in and tried to steal the cdplayer, but it was bolted in good. all they got was the faceplate and my remote. my nieghbor got a description of the guy but they never caught him. my insurance replaced the cd player, but i had a $1000 deductable, and my bill came to $1014.47, so all i got was a cd player and a check for $14.47. this happened in my driveway, which is lighted and i live in a good neighborhood. the guy did a sloppy job. at that time, i had nothing flashy on my car and i had a bright red LED on the driver's side door shining in his face.

this is not cool because my car got broken into last night also. i was at a concert downtown cleveland (shadows fall concert for all who want to know). they smashed in another car and took all thier cds and their stereo and a paycheck. then they went to my car and threw half a brick at the driver's side back door. i don't have a vibration sensor or a glass break sensor in my car right now, still working on my second alarm. and my alarm didn't page me and when i disarmed it, it didn't beep 4 times to tell me that it ever went off. so, this tells me that they never opened my doors, otherwise that would have set off my alarm. they didn't take anything out of my car.

i'm wondering how hard it is to put in a new window. junkyarddog.com said they could get me one for $54 shipped out to me. i could put it in myself if it's not too hard.

sucks to hear about your car, all i can say is, it happens, but the best deterent is to keep all the goodies out of eyes view, faceplate that is. sucks man, i'm sick of this crap

dude.. sorry to hear this happened to ya..

I say ALWAYS get an alarm.. not matter what kind of car you have... and especially
if you have and aftermarket deck and rims.. these kinds of things attract attention!!

an alarm isn't always just to stop theives from stealing the car.. they might have passed right on bby your car if they saw it had an alarm.. obviuosly these guys were amateurs.. and that's the ones alarms stop.

also.. if your deck has a removable face plate... remove it people!!! why leave it on the deck!?!? It's removable for a reason!!

anyways.. I wouldn't let this stop you modding man.. don't let a couple of fucknuts ruin something you enjoy... get back into.. but this time get an alarm first

it happened to my friends car 4 times. in 4 different places.

2 different cars. most of the time its just bad luck. cause both of his cars are stock

one of the time when his car got broke into, it was parked right in front of a police station.

so there is not much you can do if you have bad luck.

and yes he has an alarm.

My Corolla was broken into 5 times in 6 months in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Supposed to be the "nice city" with the "lowest crime rate in the county". While my car was in repair, they broke into my rental car. They also broke into my ex's corolla twice. I work for HP and have to carry tons and tons of HP branded boxes full of merchandising in the car. There's nothing of value in them though. I figure that was the trigger for the break-ins. I hope they like the 2 Pioneer DEH-3300's and 3 Pioneer DEH-3400's they removed from the dash.

Police reports are a joke. Apartment security is a joke. California is a fucking joke. I can't wait to move out of this rotten cespool of crime, traffic and poverty.

Thank god my parents work for State Farm and my deductible was $0.

My car got broken into when I moved to Nashville. They broke the little window in the back of the back door, that crap was expensive....It really made me mad. They didn't get anything however because my alarm actually scared them away. It was only a couple of weeks after I moved up there. I don't understand why people will beg, and steal instead of getting a job. I know everyone can't start at the top, or sometimes not even in the middle, but dang....some people are too low to even measure. Don't worry about it dude. What's done is done, you having rims and exhaust is probably alot more that what the robbers had, they probably didn't have a car, and were jelous. Don't let someone elses stupidity get it your way of having fun

Really sorry to hear that... as for the cd player.. i have a JVC 680 in my caddy that used to be in my Rolla, and stupid me actually left it sitting on the hood of my car while i carried in my baby and some grocieries... right out side my house and I forgot about it so it ended up lost ... i found it the next week across the street broke in little peices.. but anyways i stuck an older model head on it and it plays... of course the buttons do different things.. like i hit track 4 to make the cd come out.. hahaha.. but it lets me have music

My car was broke into a while back too.. the smashed my window for my purse that had nothin in it... I had an alarm.... the one that pages me and everything.. but i am so used to it going off i didn't even pay attention.. well when i went to my car i was pissed, specially since i was living in a gated community.

Shit happens, don't let it get you down... once you get all your stuff on your car you will be pimpin it hard and i am sure you will have an alarm.. don't get bent cause we have little hethens in the world, just go on with life the way it was and soon you won't even care that it happened. be happy they didn't take you whole car.

    sorry man !!!

    Thanks guys and gals.

It turns out that my car was not the only one hit, there was a rash of car break-ins that night, at least 6 incidents in the same area. I saw 2 other cars broken into within 2 blocks of my house.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I have worked long and hard for this so I'm gonna see this to the end. Thanks again for the kind words =D

I am going to get an alarm this weekend.

If you still have your receipt for your headunit, (I think) the manufacturer will let you buy a new face plate. Check into that before you go and throw the headunit away.
