Few questions about lights...

I want to find the head lights that look blue or bright white but that aren't HIDs. On my old car, I tried the silverstar lights but they kept burning out (without me touching the lightbulb) plus they still looked pretty mellow compared to the ones I want. Tried a few others but they all looked the same as standard bulbs.

Another questions is about the day time running lights. Anyway to turn those things off without serious rewiring? If i'm going to put the money for expensive headlights, I definitely do not want them running all day. I just want a way to turn it off during the day and at night when I need to. Any suggestions?

I cut my DRL wire under the dash behind the glove compartment box.......i forgot which wire number it was....

I got Silverstars (second set, first burned out because i touched em ). They work great and arent yellow to me. Only way to go now is HID. and I also have DRL. Nothing wrong with me.
