Hot. Now someone needs to find a way to swap it into other cars and attach a manual tranny to it.

yep the same 3.5L V6 is going to be a optional engine for the Rav4... its 280hp and in the new SAE standards is 268hp... and the rav 4 is lighter then the avalon so its gonna be a quick little suv...

Yeah I don't think they're going to put that engine in the Corolla stock.

It's not that strange for cars to have a family resemblance.

I'd drive one. The Toyota SUVs are and have always been hot. Before Escalades came out, everyone used LandCruisers as their baller vehicle of choice.

With the new FJ40 coming out too, Toyota SUVs are going to be the best by far.

Hell even the 2.4L isnt a slouch of an engine. Its the 2AZ-FE BTW from the Camry/Solara/TC.

But yeah, I agree with Laura, Powerful SUV's is a bad Idea, unless they are car-based and handle really well like the Infinity FX and Porsche Cayenne. And SUV drivers generally can't drive worth shit. They just conveniently don't see our smaller, lower cars, and they drive WAY too fast for the capabilities of the vehicle.

Major resemblance to IS300 headlights IMO.

Um, anyone ever heard of the Grand Cherokee with a V8? Especially the 5.9 Limited... Those things haul ass. My brother had one and it handily beat 3 series BMWs, much less any ricer that wanted to come play. Just because you have an SUV doesn't mean you're going to flip it once the road gets twisty.

agreed...BUT! the reason people do flip SUVs? they drive them like cars. they don't know how to handle them, and take them around turns too fast...and GOSH, what happens then? they flip. ;)

Maybe in an Isuzu Troper, but not a RAV4... it's basically a car. I think it's a moot point.
