    Exhaust sound

Hi, I have a 95 Corolla 2E engine (carbed) and when I fire it up in the morning when cold the exhaust does a V8 kinda sound hehe like (brop brop brop), when I start rolling it, it will continue until engine gets warm. It's not that it bothers or stalls, but just wondered what is that particular sound due.
I'm pretty much stock, only intake, exhaust, straight pipe, jetted stock carb.
    Any hints ?

well-my exhaust tends to be a little more aggressive sounding in the morning b/c the ENGINE'S COLD! basically-your car pushes out a lot more exhaust when first started up-runs very rich-and sucks in tons of air-thats why the intake sounds like an airplane in the mornin! your exhaust is being forced out a very quick rate-rapidly echoing the compression cycles of the cylinders-bum bum bum bum....
