Exhaust pipe diameter for 1998 Corolla

Anybody out there now the diameter of the exhaust pipe (into the muffler both sides) for a 1998 Corolla? 2in., 2.25in.???? I need to fit a performance muffler. Any body running a Flowmaster for this year? What Model muffler? Any help would be appreciated!

Use the search option. This topic has been covered before. All your questions have been answered already. I think there are a few here that use Flowmaster. I myself use Magnaflow.

I think it's 1 7/8", really close to 2".
Actually you don't need to care about the stock diameter. Just buy anything no more than 2.25" inlet is fine. The muffler shop will do the fitting for you.

Make sure they taper fit the muffler on if you're not doing full catback. This will eliminate the rice pop exhaust tone.

Out of curiosity, what model Magnaflow? Part # etc... Diameter specs...

I have almost the same setup except my muffler didn't come with a tip. That was extra which I had to get welded on.
